Machine Learning is a synergistic excercise between man and machine. Machine Learning in practice requires human applications of the scientific method and human communications skills. Successful organizations have the analytic infrastructure, expertise and close collaboration between analytics and business.
Deep Learning: It's an advanced machine learning techniques that makes use of extremely sphisticated neural networks. Deep Learning has vastly improved our ability to understand and analyze image, sound and video.

W2: Particle Image Velocimetry

OVERVIEW

-->The Particle Image Velocimetry is a non-intrusive experimental technique to measure fluid flow. Flow is calculated following the tracer particle.
-->Workshop will cover the basic principles of PIV and its components - Tracer particle, camera, laser and synchronizer.
-->Introduction to open source software like openPIV, pivlab, matlab codes for postprocessing.
-->Precaution and useful tips about PIV with live demonstration.

W3: Data Science in FinTechs

Financial technology, often shortened to FinTech or fintech, is the new technology and innovation that aims to compete with traditional financial methods in the delivery of financial services. It is an emerging industry that uses technology to improve activities in finance. Fintech refers to a set of technologies that focus on new ways of delivering banking and financial services to consumers. When you use PayPal, Amazon pay, or your credit card to make a payment online, you the consumer, the ecommerce company, as well as the bank are all using Fintech to make the transaction happen. Over time, Fintech has evolved and disrupted almost all aspects of financial services, including payments, investments, consumer finance, insurance, securities settlement, and cryptocurrencies, among others. Fintech companies heavily depend on machine learning, artificial intelligence, predictive analytics and data science to simplify financial decision making and provide superior solutions.

W4: Intellectual Property Rights

Head - Data Science, Kaleidofin Private Limited Raja is a Data Science evangelist having about a decade of experience in Analytics and Data Science. His works were primarily in the financial industry, however has experience in other industries when he was running a data science and machine learning consulting, providing services ranging from startups to listed companies for about 2 years. He recently moved to a fintech startup as head of data science that works on financial inclusion, prior to that, he was heading the data science team at FundsIndia.com - India's largest online mutual fund aggregator with AUM (Assets Under Management) of over $700+ million (Rs 5000+ Crore). Most recently, he has been working on developing and implementing algorithms for crypto asset trading. When he is not staring at his computer, he could be seen hiking or running.
