SUBMIT ABSTRACT



ORAL AND POSTER

Research Conclave is organizing Oral/Poster presentation competitions to showcase your work. Participants are requested to upload their abstracts in the format displayed on the website. After screening, participants will be notified whether the abstract is selected for oral or poster presentation. Winners will be rewarded with exciting prizes. Following are the departments under which participants can submit their abstract:

  • Biosciences & Bioengineering
  • Chemical Engineering
  • Chemistry
  • Civil Engineering
  • Computer Science & engineering
  • Design
  • Electronics & Electrical Engineering
  • HSS & Management
  • Mathematics
  • Mechanical Engineering

Abstract Submission Guidelines

A one-page abstract (inclusive of references, tables and figures) should be prepared in the following format:

  • Paper size: A4 (210 mm x 297 mm)
  • Line spacing: single
  • Font: Times New Roman, size 11
  • Page margins: 15 mm on left and right
  • Name of the corresponding author has to be underlined in case of more than one author.

While submitting the Abstract please name your file as Name_Dept (e.g. saurav_design).
Abstract should be submitted in .doc/.docx format.


Instructions for Oral Presenters

  • The authors of each oral presentation have 8 minutes for presentation and 2 minutes for discussion.
  • The speakers should arrive at the venue for their oral presentation session at least 1 hour before the start of the session.
  • A system (windows) and LCD projector will be available to use for oral presentations.
  • All speakers should adhere strictly to the time allotted to their presentation.
  • Organisers will be around for any help.

Instructions for Poster Presenters

  • The authors should prepare a poster of size: 4 (height) X 3 (width) feet and carry this to the poster display area.
  • Organisers will be around to help with the poster display.
  • Speakers should adhere strictly to the time allotted to their presentation.
  • Please use the template provided in this website for making the poster.



Model

A working model is the best self-contained representation to put forward your work in a simple yet effective way. This self-description of one’s creativity and innovative abilities seeps in conveying a better idea of the work. Research Conclave brings to you an opportunity to showcase your working model and present your idea. This competition will be organized in two categories:

  • Junior (up to Higher Secondary level)
  • Senior (above Higher Secondary level)

Participants are requested to upload their abstracts in the format displayed on this website. Winners will be awarded with exciting prizes.


Three Minutes Thesis Presentation

Ready to present your PhD work in an innovative way? Research Conclave is organizing a competition to reward your presentation skills and your work. The rules pertaining to this competition are:

  • A single static PowerPoint slide is permitted (no slide transitions, animations or 'movement' of any description, the slide is to be presented from the beginning of the oration).
  • No additional electronic media (e.g. sound and video files) are permitted.
  • No additional props (e.g. costumes, musical instruments, laboratory equipment) are permitted.
  • Presentations are limited to 3 minutes maximum and competitors exceeding 3 minutes will be given negative marking (for each 10 seconds extra consumed, 1 mark will be deducted from the total score obtained by a participant).
  • Presentations are to be spoken word (e.g. no poems, raps or songs).
  • Presentations are to be commenced from the stage.
  • Presentations are considered to have commenced when a presenter starts their presentation through movement or speech.
  • The decision of the adjudicating panel is final.
