Oral and Poster

Participants need to upload their abstracts in the format displayed on the website. Participants will be notified whether the abstract is selected for oral or poster presentation. Following are the departments under which participants can submit their abstract:

    Research Conclave is providing a great platform to showcase your scientific models. Participants need to upload their abstracts in the format displayed on the website. There are basically two categories under which participants can register.

    i) Schools (Upto senior secondary level)
    ii) From Graduation level (Departments mentioned in oral and poster section)


    Instructions for Presenters

    Instructions for Oral presenters:
    • The authors of each oral presentation has 8 mins for presentation and 2 mins for discussion.
    • The speakers should arrive at the venue for their oral presentation session at least 1 hour before the start of the session.
    • A system (windows) and LCD projector will be available to use for oral presentations.
    • All speakers should adhere strictly to the time allotted to their presentation.
    • Organisers will be around for any help.
    Instructions for Poster presenters:
    • The authors should prepare a poster and carry this to the poster display area.
    • Organisers will be around to help with the poster display.
    • Please make sure that the size of your poster is 4 (height) X 3 (width) feet.
    • Please use the template for making the poster.

    # Note: Selected work/papers will be published in Springer volume based on final quality check and requirement fulfilled by the author(s) for the publisher.
    Paper Templates and formatting instructions:
    • Papers should describe original research (i.e., not published elsewhere), and must be written in English.
    • Please prepare your full paper in the Springer template.
    • Detailed author instructions about the Springer template can be found here. Please click here for a word template.
    • Last date to submit manuscript for publication in Springer: 25th March 2018.
    • Kindly send your full manuscript to notify@researchconclave.in

    Three Minutes Thesis Presentation

    Research Conclave is providing a great platform to showcase your PhD work. Participants need to upload their abstracts in the format displayed on the website. There are basically certain rules to be followed by the participants.

    • A single static PowerPoint slide is permitted (no slide transitions, animations or 'movement' of any description, the slide is to be presented from the beginning of the oration).
    • No additional electronic media (e.g. sound and video files) are permitted.
    • No additional props (e.g. costumes, musical instruments, laboratory equipment) are permitted.
    • Presentations are limited to 3 minutes maximum and competitors exceeding 3 minutes will be given negative marking (for each 10 seconds extra consumed 1 mark will be deducted from the total score obtained by a participant).
    • Presentations are to be spoken word (eg. no poems, raps or songs).
    • Presentations are to commence from the stage.
    • Presentations are considered to have commenced when a presenter starts their presentation through movement or speech.
    • The decision of the adjudicating panel is final.

    Chitra (Photography Competition)


    ## The last date for the submission is 25th February 2018, 1600 hrs.

    Photographers of all ages, background and experience are invited to participate in IIT Guwahati’s open photography competition Chitra, under the “Research Conclave 2018”. We are looking for striking and powerful images from 3 diverse categories, mentioned below-

    2. Swadeshi
    3. Assembly

    From every theme, 10 best photographs will be selected for the “Chitra Gallery” and amongst which, one best picture in each category will win an exciting prize. All other participants will get a participation certificate.

    ‘INNOVATEUR PLATE-FORME’


    Redstart - The Startup

    Research Conclave is providing a great platform to put forward your start-up idea. Participants need to upload their abstracts in the form of one page write up. Anyone with an innovative idea can participate in the competition.

    Registration fees : Rs. 200/- + Payment gateway charges


    Instructions for participants:
    • The competition will consist of two stages.
    • First Stage: The participating teams will have to submit an Abstract of their Start-up idea. The Abstract has to be presented in the form of a ‘One page write up’ (PDF), along with Keywords (maximum 7 words).
      Final Stage: The participants will have to present the work done or the formulated model in the form of Power Point Presentation before judges.
    • A team can register with minimum one or upto maximum of five members including the Team Leader.
    • Team leader will be the point of contact for any correspondence for team.
    • Last date of Registration and submission of the Abstract extended to 21st February, 2018.
    • Last date of announcement of the accepted abstracts for Startup competition is 28th February, 2018.
    • The details for payment of registration fee will be updated soon.

      1. Practicality/feasibility of Startup.

    Guidelines:
    • A team may be comprised of a maximum of three members.
    • Team leader will be the point of contact for any correspondence for team.
    • Inter Institutional Quiz.
    • No cross teams are allowed (e.g.- No members from different institutes can form a team).
    • Participants should carry valid institute/college/school identity card and should be a regular student of the institute/college/school.
    • Prizes worth Rs. 10,000 and more.
