Growth and Manipulation of Two-Dimensional Materials for Next-Generation Applications
Two-dimensional (2D) materials are emerging as a cornerstone for next-generation devices and on-demand electronics. This workshop explores their relevance, technological potential, and pathways toward real-world translation.
The workshop addresses national priorities in advanced materials, electronics, energy, sensing, and healthcare. It promotes indigenous research, technology translation, and industry–academia collaboration in 2D materials, supporting initiatives such as Make in India, semiconductor missions, and innovation-driven economic growth.
20–21 March 2026
Centre for Nanotechnology, IIT Guwahati, Assam
2 Days
Two-dimensional (2D) materials provide a powerful platform for next-generation technologies owing to their atomically thin structure, tunable electronic properties, and exceptional surface sensitivity. The 2-D Materials Workshop brings together leading experts spanning growth, manipulation, characterization, theory, device integration, and technology translation to highlight recent advances and explore pathways toward application-ready systems.
The program features technical lectures, interactive discussions, and laboratory visits covering:No prior experience is required, unless mentioned otherwise.
