Karyashala is a noble endeavor of Government of India under Accelerate Vigyan Scheme to improve research productivity of promising M.Tech. and Ph.D. students from universities and colleges through high-end workshops on specific themes. These events are sponsored by Science and Engineering Board (SERB). These workshops aim to equip the participants with specialized research skills. The workshops are facilitated at institutions of national importance. This High End Workshop on Fundamentals of Deep Learning is jointly organized by Indian Institute of Technology Guwahati and Research for Resurgence Foundation, Nagpur. The present event will be physically conducted at IIT Guwahati during 12 – 18 September, 2022.
The High End Workshop on Fundamentals of Deep Learning is open to postgraduate students from all Institutes, Colleges and Universities in India. The event will be physically conducted at IIT Guwahati. There are only 25 seats. There are no registration fees. The theory lectures are associated with practical sessions. The candidates are expected to carry their personal laptops for participating in the practical sessions. The following criteria will be considered while shortlisting the candidates.
Applicants will be considered on a First Come, First Served basis.
Preference will be given to applicants working in the areas of Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, Deep Learning, Computer Vision, Signal Processing and Natural Language Processing.
Preference will be given to applicants at the early stage of their Ph.D.
Preference will be given to continuing M.Tech. students or those who have recently graduated from a M.Tech. programme aligned with Artificial Intelligence or Signal Processing.
Faculty members desirous to pursue Ph.D. in related areas may be considered based on their SOP and Endorsement cum NOC from employer.
Candidates who have completed their Ph.D. are not eligible to apply.

NOTE : Following the DST-SERB guidelines the travel, food and on-capmus accommodation expenses will be reimbursed.
TRAVEL : Only out-of-station travel expenses will be reimburshed. The reimbursement is only applicable to travel by bus and train (upto 3AC).
