IIT Guwahati is located 23 km away from the Guwahati airport. Prepaid taxis, UBER, and OLA taxis are
available from the airport to the IIT Guwahati campus (Fare: Rs. 400-800, depends on time of travelling).
Take ASTC Bus from airport (left side of arrival gate) to Jalukbari. From Jalukbari take cab (Fare: Rs
100-200) or auto (Till 7 pm, fare: 40rs). Auto stand is under bridge
at Jalukbari. Auto drops you at KV Gate of IIT Guwahati which is near to Disang (GW) Hostel
From Guwahati and Kamakhya Railway Station:
IIT Guwahati is 22 km and 15 km away from Guwahati and Kamakhya railway stations, respectively. Private
Taxi, Auto, UBER and OLA etc. are available from the railway station to the IIT Guwahati campus.
From Guwahati Railway Station: Take a direct auto/cab to IIT Guwahati (₹ 500–600) or take an ASTC
AC bus
to Jalukbari or Amingaon (₹40–50) and then an shared auto/cab to the KV Gate of IIT Guwahati.
From Kamakhya Railway Station: Take a direct auto/cab to IIT Guwahati (₹300–400) or walk 100 m/ take e-rickshaw to Assam
Trunk Road, take an ASTC AC bus to Jalukbari or Amingaon (₹20–30), and then an shared auto/cab to
the KV Gate of IIT Guwahati.
